had an irl chat that produced lots of notes: 1) boston encourages mediocrity  boston rewards mediocrity  2) fear of nyc seeds the ambition to be a big fish in a small pond   3) performing having an “underground”     4) too much contenetment with the status quo.  where is the anger?!! that everything you do has to be funneled through an institution that you have no stake in? 5) there’s only one scene  6) the city is simply not punk  7) boston’s only expression of deviance is baddies
