I will treat this space as my diary since I have no idea how to write blogs.
Everytime I think of starting/doing something new it majorly starts with a little bit of self doubt & loads of overthinking. Before even starting that particular thing my mind just shouts "what if it doesn't work out". The good thing is now somehow I know how to divert this mind situation of mine. Whenever I have these self doubts questions arising in my mind, I'd just say "what if it does work out" then I wont be regretting in my old age thinking about all the things I should have done when I wanted to.
Just a few examples like- quitting my job(s), going abroad to study, starting my YT channel(I always wanted to do this) , opening my online thrift shop( this was something I really enjoyed but since I was going abroad I wasn't able to continue it), changing career domain from Operations to Marketing.
Now, this year I am thinking about starting my Snail Mail club. It's been on my mind since almost 2 months now and I have already started working on it. The thing is I am not a painter or illustrator, so my plan is to create mood boards(postcards) plus add some other fun stuff like stickers, pin badges, journal prompt card etc. So, now the overthinking starts wether anyone would be interested in getting this? Will they like mood boards as postcard? Will they want to receive things from someone who is not even creating real art? and many more...
If you're reading this please comment down below anything you know about snail mail clubs and what you personally like to receive. Here are my major three reasons why I want to start it because I think about the WHYs too-
- I want to build a community of people who are into the same/ similar things so that we can share our interests/passion with each other & I can make actual friends
- I want to create something instead of just consuming, this will be a fun thing to do and I will have to think of making my snail club interesting every month
- I just want to be financially independent and it would be cool if I can achieve this by doing something that I love
