truly the highlight of my February into March reading this wonderful book—three twisting and turning short stories, full of the colorful wonders of heraldry and honor. Really transmutes some exciting medieval aesthetics I haven’t seen explored in such depth and with such riveting plots! So many little philosophical questions, and humorous outcomes too, embroidered into the tale; accountability in feudal society, or lords and knights embracing their heraldry in both comical and ominous ways.
