reflecting on the murder of renee nicole good and the atrocities of ICE, i remembered this passage in my book: what happens to one happens to us all. if one is not safe, WE are not safe. literal political violence is being carried out against us by the people who are meant to protect our communities. i don't feel any safer that a woman - a neighbor, a mother, a daughter, a poet, a singer - is dead. i'm sad and disgusted by this country, man.
